Strong Women ( not a Crash landing On You drama review you are waiting for)
Good morning to my dear readers :)
To start with, let me be honest that i just finished watching this Korean drama series which made a huge hit amongst Korean & of course Malaysian. Crash landing On You. Main character is Hyun Bin.. aha,, let me declare first, i am not a fan of Hyun Bin but might be Ri Jeong Hyuk(the hero name in this drama) And it is my first drama series in 2020. Haha, nothing to be proud of, thought i wouldn't watch any drama this year except the awaiting drama which IU and Park Seo Jun will be starred in. Okay, enough of TMI dear..
Back to the main topic, after finished watching the drama, i have this strong urge to speak out my mind regarding the female actresses from this drama. The lead actress and co-lead actress. And this is my first time that i adore both lead and co-lead actress in the drama. Snap it Ain! You love both lead couple & co-lead couple isn't? It is a rare occasion right? How can it be? Ouh ya, for those who are not watching this drama, you might just get a grasp about what i'm going to tell, perhaps you wanna watch the drama later? Huhu
From my point of view, both lead & co-lead actresses showed us the same Strong Women traits. So here it goes.
Yoon Se Ri(lead actress), known as independent women who own a multi-billion company, she always have her own strong opinion that make her on top of her business. Used to eat alone and definitely not a family-oriented person. Until one day, she met 'the one' which made her heart melt. There was a scene which left an impact for me where Se Ri really cried her heart out when she found that her Namja Chingu and North Korean friends might left the house to go back to North Korea. She became so weak and trembling. But later, she found out that those people were just wanted to celebrate her birthday surprise party and that was why they left the house in dark. Se Ri got caught of being off guard when the other saw she crying like crazy. This scene left vividly in my mind and it does not remarks Se Ri for being all weak, but she had now became someone who dependable on others. Remember the non- family oriented persona? It all gone.
To look from our perspective, that is how human, to look back on how Se Ri become so independent as she repeatedly faced rejection from her own family. That is why she build her own shield to stand on her own without depending on others due to lack of trust to anyone. Even her staff can't believe that Se Ri started to eat with them, and gave more compliments when the works done. All of this happened because finally she found someone who able to shift her worldview of happiness.
Move to co-lead actress, Seo Dan. Another strong women who came from North Korea and has been engaged to Jeong Hyuk for 10 years. At first she thought that she was lucky to finally get her love crush as her husband soon. Little did she know, she was struggling to keep up with finding her true love. Being so called a cold-hearted women, she always beware of being wavered and realistic move became her bread and butter. I should marry my crush who eventually my fiance, is what she take it seriously, until one day reality hit her that her fiance fled to Seoul to save Se Ri. To my surprise, the drama writers don't came up with cliche plot story where co-lead actress must do anything to get her love back. Instead, through the heartbroken moment, she finally realized who she truly love. Love that sparked not because of 'the commitment' but because she knew who more deserved to receive her love. she got my respect for being so loyal with 10 years of engagement. Who can wait for that long?
See ya, who does not want a pure love to happen? We all does, if possible, let the first love we had being our forever soulmates, but not all people are lucky enough. Maybe after the countless heartbroken, we finally understand what giving love is all about. Man reject or left you? Give a damn, cry out as much as you want and later, move on. Give love to the one who worth your love and loyalty. As women,or even man..(don't act like you are soo tough man), we might get traumatized, but always giving another chances to make your heart bloom and flutter again. It is about your heart. not the others. After all, Allah created us with Fitrah. Fitrah to give love and get love.
Enough of my babbling eit, hope i could convey this in an easy way to be understood. Doesn't mean you must agree to what am i writing. Foodnote: As human, we do have limitation of everything. Even we try harder and hardest to achieve what we want. To some point, we finally found that, only pray and hope that we left. So keep praying and hoping, it will keep us hang in there. Just like the scene when Ri Jeong Hyuk & Yoon Se Ri need to be apart (the real one when Se Ri still recovery from the gun shoot), what Jeong Hyuk said to Se Ri when she asked whether they can meet again. He said, "just wait and pray desperately". Lihat, akhirnya jalan yang sentiasa memberi kita harapan adalah berdoa. Dalam sudut hati paling dalam, tuhan itu ada dalam hati setiap manusia. Itu fitrah insan. Kita, hamba bertuhan. Jadi atheist itu, pelik ya?
